For me a preset is always a starting point of my own vision. Presets help to start and go deeper into the editing process. But at the end of the day the photographer needs to feel that his images have the right look and feel. Pros + clearly arranged + better details, highlights & shadows (.of Capture One) + fantastic B&W presets with more contrast than VSCO + good prize ConS - no grain simulation - which should always be in film simulation - no extra toolkit for Auto WB, Fade, Grain, Contrast etc. Would I buy the Film Styles?

Summary Summing up, I already mentioned in that this software works very well in replicating look & feel of photos from film age and the Film Styles presets from Alexander Svet take this concept one step further by providing very good representation of various films. Presets included in the collection are great starting point and with so many to choose from (there are 100 presets in the collection) everyone should find something that will fit their needs & post-processing style.
My final thoughts on the Film styles for Capture One. Well, first of all I have to say that it is nearly impossible to show the same result of a digital image to a film image. Film still has a unique texture and character - and it always will be. But, VSCO and Film Styles for Capture One did a really good job - both have their own character.

I’ve been building up a collection of Styles in Capture One for some time, and I originally had the intention of releasing hem as a styles pack, but I was never really happy with them as a complete pack. And ultimately, not at this price. FWIW I think Aperture had a good, basic, simple to navigate interface - The Finder was particularly good, but then Apple gave up on Aperture and now that interface looks very outdated. C1 could do with an overhaul - you're right, but the functionality - the access points to tools is fairly good as it is, so there's probably not much that they can do.
